Understanding Irradiance

Irradiance measures how much light energy reaches the treatment area and is expressed in mW/cm² (milliwatts per square centimetre).

Generally, higher irradiance allows more light energy to be delivered within a given treatment time. All irradiance values listed above are measured at a distance of 15 cm (6 inches).

Actual light intensity decreases as the distance from the panel increases, so following the recommended treatment distance will help achieve optimal performance.
